- Prepare cracked wheat or possibly bulgur according to package directions.
- In heavy frying pan, heat oil. Add in onion and cook, stirring, over medium heat till tender. Stir in garlic and mushrooms and cook till mushrooms are tender, about 2 min.
- Stir in tomato, cracked wheat, basil, almonds, salt, and pepper to taste; stir till mixed and heated through.
