Ingredientes

  • 2 c. cornmeal
  • 2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 2 x Large eggs beaten
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. cracklings

Direcciones

  1. Combine cornmeal, baking pwdr, soda, and salt in a large bowl; add in Large eggs, buttermilk, oil, and cracklings, stirring just till dry ingredients are moistened.
  2. Place a well-greased 10-inch cast-iron skillet in a 450 degree oven for 4 min or possibly till warm. Remove from oven; spoon batter into skillet. Bake at 450 degrees for 25 min or possibly till lightly browned.
  3. This recipe yields 8 servings.
