%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Toddster%20and%20I%20discovered%20a%2099p%20store%20the%20other%20day%20at%20our%20local%20trading%20estate.%20I%20am%20sure%20it's%20been%20there%20for%20a%20few%20months,%20but%20we%20had%20never%20been%20in%20it%20until%20the%20other%20day.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEverything%20in%20the%20shop%20is%20only%2099pence,%20and%20not%20a%20penny%20more,%20and%20in%20some%20cases,%20even%20less.%20%20There%20is%20a%20lot%20of%20tat%20in%20there%20admittedly,%20%20but%20there's%20also%20lots%20of%20name%20brand%20stuff%20in%20there%20too.%20%20It's%20quite%20amazing.%20%20We%20ended%20up%20going%20twice%20this%20week.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20picked%20up%20packages%20of%20waffles%20the%20other%20day,%20with%208%20in%20a%20pack%20for%20.%20.%20.%20you%20guessed%20it,%2099p%20a%20pack.%20%20I%20couldn't%20resist,%20so%20I%20bought%20several%20packs%20.%20.%20.%20and%20then%20when%20I%20got%20them%20home,%20I%20thought%20.%20.%20.%20what%20am%20I%20going%20to%20do%20with%20all%20these%20waffles???%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Fresh%20out%20of%20the%20oven.)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt's%20crazy%20what%20you%20find%20yourself%20buying%20when%20it's%20a%20bargain.%20%20The%20number%20of%20times%20I've%20purchased%20all%20the%20buy%20one%20get%20one%20free%20deals%20at%20the%20grocery%20store%20is%20nobody's%20business%20.%20.%20.%20things%20I%20wasn't%20even%20shopping%20for,%20but%20.%20.%20.%20meh%20.%20.%20.%20it's%20free!%20%20I'm%20trying%20to%20do%20better%20with%20that%20now,%20truly%20I%20am.%20%20It's%20not%20really%20a%20bargain%20if%20it's%20something%20you%20weren't%20going%20to%20buy%20in%20the%20first%20place!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E(Dusted%20with%20Icing%20Sugar)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESo%20anyways,%20I%20found%20myself%20with%20several%20packs%20of%20the%20waffles%20and%20we%20can%20only%20eat%20so%20many%20.%20.%20.%20and%20so%20I%20sat%20there%20and%20tried%20to%20think%20of%20something%20I%20could%20make%20with%20some%20of%20them%20that%20wasn't%20%22waffle-ee!%22%20%20They%20are%20kind%20of%20like%20a%20cross%20between%20cake%20and%20bread%20.%20.%20.%20and%20pancakes%20.%20.%20.%20perfect%20dessert%20material,%20and%20so%20.%20.%20.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20a%20type%20of%20bread%20pudding%20with%20them.%20%20Not%20just%20any%20bread%20pudding%20though.%20%20You%20know%20me%20.%20.%20.%20I%20like%20things%20to%20be%20a%20bit%20different,%20kind%20up%20charged%20up%20if%20I%20can.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20month%20I%20bought%20a%20HUGE%20bag%20of%20dried%20cranberries%20at%20Costco%20.%20.%20.%20another%20one%20of%20those%20deals%20I%20couldn't%20resist%20.%20.%20.%20we%20love%20cranberries%20and%20I%20like%20the%20dried%20ones%20in%20my%20morning%20oats%20from%20time%20to%20time.%20%20So%20I%20decided%20that%20I%20would%20try%20to%20incorporate%20some%20of%20them%20into%20this%20pudding.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECranberries%20and%20white%20chocolate%20go%20really%20well%20together,%20and%20so%20I%20decided%20to%20use%20some%20white%20chocolate%20as%20well%20.%20.%20.%20and%20well%20.%20.%20.%20my%20favourite%20type%20of%20sweet%20loaf%20is%20Cranberry%20and%20orange,%20and%20so%20I%20used%20this%20flavor%20as%20well.%20%20I%20macerated%20the%20cranberries%20in%20Orange%20Liqueur%20and%20orange%20juice%20to%20plump%20them%20up%20a%20bit.%20%20Fabulous!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAltogether%20this%20worked%20very,%20very%20well.%20%20Almost%20too%20well.%20%20I%20haven't%20been%20able%20to%20keep%20my%20fork%20out%20of%20it%20ever%20since%20it%20came%20out%20of%20the%20oven.%20%20I%20keep%20digging%20in%20for%20.%20.%20.%20just%20one%20more%20bite.%20%20It%20seriously%20needs%20to%20be%20locked%20up!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20other%20words%20.%20.%20.%20to%20die%20for.%20%20%20I%20think%20you'll%20find%20I'm%20right%20when%20I%20say%20it%20is%20pretty%20near%20impossible%20to%20resist.%20%20This%20may%20be%20the%20best%20%22bread%22%20pudding%20I've%20ever%20made!!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20don't%20just%20take%20my%20word%20for%20it.%20%20Try%20it%20out%20for%20yourself%20.%20.%20.%20just%20%20remember%20.%20.%20.%20you've%20been%20warned!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Cranberry%20and%20White%20Chocolate%20Waffle%20Pudding*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eserves%206%20to%208%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20may%20be%20the%20best%20pudding%20you%20have%20ever%20baked%20or%20eaten.%20%20You%20have%20been%20warned.%20%20This%20is%20very%20hard%20to%20resist.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20oven%20to%20170*C/325*F/%20gas%20mark%203.%20%20Butter%20a%20medium%20sized%20glass%20oven%20dish.%20%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPut%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ethe%20cranberries%20into%20a%20microwave%20proof%20bowl,%20along%20with%20the%20orange%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eliqueur%20and%20orange%20juice.%20%20Heat%20on%20high%20for%20one%20minute.%20%20Stir%20and%20set%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Easide%20to%20infuse%20for%2010%20minutes.%20%20Drain%20the%20cranberries,%20reserving%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ejuices.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECut%20the%20waffles%20into%201%20inch%20cubes.%20%20Place%20half%20of%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewaffle%20cubes%20in%20the%20prepared%20baking%20dish.%20%20Sprinkle%20with%20half%20of%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Einfused%20cranberries%20and%20the%20chopped%20chocolate.%20%20Top%20with%20the%20remaining%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewaffle%20cubes.%20%20Sprinkle%20with%20the%20remaining%20chopped%20chocolate%20and%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ecranberries.%20%20Drizzle%20the%20juices%20over%20all.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhisk%20together%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eflour,%20orange%20zest%20and%20sugar%20in%20a%20bowl%20to%20combine.%20%20Whisk%20in%20the%20eggs%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Eand%20cream%20until%20thoroughly%20combined.%20%20Pour%20this%20mixture%20evenly%20over%20the%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ewaffles.%20%20Gently%20press%20the%20waffles%20down%20to%20help%20absorption.%20%20Let%20stand%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Efor%2010%20minutes.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBake%20in%20the%20heated%20oven%20for%2035%20minutes,%20or%20until%20golden%20brown.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDust%20with%20icing%20sugar%20and%20serve%20warm,%20spooned%20out%20into%20bowls%20along%20with%20cream%20or%20ice%20cream.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPSSTT!!%20%20Don't%20forget%20to%20leave%20a%20comment%20on%20my%20National%20Chocolate%20Week%20post%20to%20get%20in%20on%20the%20draw%20for%202%20%20copies%20of%20this%20lovely%20little%20cookbook,%20bake%20me%20I'm%20yours%20.%20.%20.%20CHOCOLATE!%20%20You%20must%20comment%20on%20that%20%20%20POST%20in%20order%20to%20be%20included%20in%20the%20draw.%20%20Don't%20miss%20out.%20%20You%20have%20to%20be%20in%20it%20to%20win%20it!%20%20Two%20names%20will%20be%20drawn%20tomorrow,%20Monday%20the%2015th%20October.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
