Ingredientes

  • 3 c. Fresh Cranberries Or possibly Frzn Cranberries
  • 1 1/2 c. tawny port
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. golden brown raisins
  • 1 med onion finely minced
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp grnd ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg

Direcciones

  1. In large saucepan, combine all ingredients; mix well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer uncovered about 30 min or possibly till cranberries have popped and liquid has slightly thickened. Cold to room temperature. Cover and store in refrigerator.
  2. Yields: 3 1/2 c.
  3. NOTES : Member Betty Nickel says she usually makes a large batch, four times the regular recipe, to share with friends and family. "Everyone raves about it," she says. For a variation, Betty sometimes ads nuts, but she notes which the relish must be eaten right away so the nuts stay crisp. Betty L. Nickel, Watsonville, CA
