"Cream" Of Mushroom Soup

Ingredientes

  • Sliced mushrooms
  • 1 c. Nonfat dry lowfat milk pwdr
  • 1 Tbsp. Dry onion flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. Dixie Diner Club broth mix, (or possibly your favorite bouillon pwdr)
  • 1/2 tsp Dry basil
  • 1/2 tsp Dry thyme
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly grnd black pepper
  • 2 c. Cool water
  • 1 c. Mashed potatoes, (up to 1-1/2)
  • 1 c. Additional water LF/FF shredded cheddar cheese Sprinkle of baco's

Direcciones

  1. (My favorite as a child growing up in cool Minnesota).
  2. "Saute/fry" sliced mushrooms in a PAM srayed skillet til browned and set aside.
  3. In saucepan mix the "B" ingredients (thanks Heloise).
  4. Add in 2 c. cool water to the mix and stir constantly over med heat til thickened. Add in 1 to 1 1/2 c. of mashed potatoes and blend well. Add in about 1 c. additional water to thin to desired consistency. Add in sauteed mushrooms. Serve in bowls with a spoonful of LF/FF shredded cheddar cheese and a sprinkle of baco's.
  5. Serves four (or possibly just two if you're very hungry).
