Ingredientes

  • 4 tbsp. flour
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3 c. lowfat milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Mix flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt; mix to a smooth paste with 1/2 c. of the lowfat milk.
  2. Scald the rest of lowfat milk, add in dry ingredients. Stir till well blended, then bring to a boil and cook 1-2 min, stirring constantly.
  3. Add in a little of the warm mix to the slightly beaten egg yolks, combine the two and stir till smooth. Add in butter and cook 1-2 min longer.
  4. Cold; add in vanilla and pour into a 9 inch baked pie shell. Top with meringue and brown.
