Cream Puffs

Ingredientes

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 eggs
  • Ingredients for filling:
  • 2 cups (1 pint) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine butter and water.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium high heat.
  4. Stir in flour; reduce heat.
  5. Stir vigorously over low heat about one minute or until mixture forms a ball.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. Beat in eggs all at once.
  8. Continue beating until smooth.
  9. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls about 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
  10. Bake about 30 to 40 minutes or until puffed and golden brown.
  11. Make filling while cream puffs are baking.
  12. With a mixer, whip heavy cream until consistency of whipped cream.
  13. Add vanilla and sugar to taste.
  14. Remove cream puffs from oven; cool on a wire rack.
  15. Cut off top 1/3 of each puff and remove any soft dough from inside.
  16. Fill with filling; Replace tops.
  17. Lightly dust tops with powdered sugar
