Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 1/2 c. shredded carrot
  • 1 tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. sliced potatoes
  • 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 12-16 ounce. sliced fully-cooked bratwurst or possibly Kielbasa
  • 1/2 c. frzn peas
  • Dash bottled warm pepper sauce

Direcciones

  1. In 3 qt saucepan cook onion and carrot in butter till onion is tender. Add in potatoes and broth. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 20 min or possibly till potatoes are tender. Slightly mash potatoes with a fork. Stir lowfat milk into flour; add in to potato mix along with sausage, peas and warm pepper sauce. Cook and stir till warm and thick - Don't BOIL, the lowfat milk will curdle - it will not hurt taste, but texture suffers a lot. Makes 4 main-dish servings. Double the recipe because you'll want seconds.
