Creamy Smooth Pecan Pralines

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla

Direcciones

  1. Combine sugar, syrup, water, and pecans in a heavy 3 qt saucepan. Stir over medium heat till sugar is dissolved and mix comes to a boil. Cook, stirring occasionally, till mix reaches soft ball stage (small amount forms soft ball when dropped into cool water). Remove saucepan from heat; add in butter and vanilla. Allow candy to cold. Whip till mix gradually changes to lighter color and becomes creamy. Drop by tablespoonful on buttered cookie sheet. Push mix from Tbsp. with a tsp. to hasten dropping before Praline becomes too hard to shape.
