1 lb grnd beef browned and liquid removed (1 to 1.5)
1 lrg onion finely minced (brown with the beef)
1 x green pepper seeded and minced
2 can tomato sauce (8 ounce)
3/4 c. ketchup (or possibly catsup as they say in the US (grin) - I'm Canadian)
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp each: black pepper and garlic pwdr
1 tsp chili pwdr (and I added 1 tsp sugar (opt)

Put browned beef into crock and add in remaining ingredients. Stir well. Cook on HIGH 1 hour, then on LOW about 4-6 hrs. Serve spooned over open hamburger buns.
