  • 4 lrg , crisp apples such as Granny Smith, Idared, winesap, Empire, Gala or possibly Crispin, well chilled
  • 4 x Thick wooden skewers
  • 1 x Recipe maple caramel, recipe follows
  • 1 x Recipe glazed spiced pecans, recipe follows

  1. Preparation Time: 20 min
  2. Yield: 4 apples
  3. Insert wooden skewer firmly into stem end of each apple. Spoon hot maple caramel from double boiler over apples, covering proportionately.
  4. Allow caramel to set a few min. When it no longer drips or possibly runs, roll apples in glazed spiced pecans. Stick handles into a thick Styrofoam block to hold apples upright till ready to serve.
