,%20back%20to%20basics%20tacos%20are%20where%20it's%20at%20for%20me%20right%20now!%20It%20has%20been%20quite%20a%20while,%20if%20at%20all%20in%20the%20past%2010%20months%20that%20I've%20been%20writing%20this%20blog,%20since%20I%20have%20made%20a%20straight%20shooting%20taco.%20%20The%20only%20twist,%20if%20you%20can%20call%20it%20that,%20is%20that%20I%20swapped%20out%20ground%20beef%20for%20ground%20pork%20which%20takes%20the%20crunchy%20taco%20to%20new%20levels%20of%20deliciousness.%20%20One%20time%20I%20realized%20I%20had%20no%20ground%20beef%20in%20the%20freezer,%20but%20I%20did%20have%20some%20ground%20pork%20leftover%20from%20a%20meatloaf%20made%20earlier%20in%20the%20week.%20%20I%20figured%20I'd%20give%20it%20a%20try,%20like%20how%20bad%20could%20it%20be?!%20%20It%20has%20a%20much%20richer,%20fuller%20and%20more%20luscious%20(if%20that%20doesn't%20sound%20too%20stupid)%20flavor%20and%20texture%20than%20boring%20old%20ground%20beef.%20%20Without%20a%20doubt%20that%20was%20the%20best%20taco%20ever!%20%20Now%20I%20don't%20use%20anything%20but...unless%20all%20I%20have%20is%20beef...but%20I%20really,%20really%20try%20to%20use%20pork%20instead.%20Try%20it,%20I%20highly%20recommend%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20won't%20bore%20you%20with%20writing%20a%20recipe%20for%20a%20taco.%20%20Brown%20the%20pork%20(or%20beef),%20add%20a%20packet%20of%20taco%20seasoning%20(don't%20forget%20the%20secret%20ingredient...a%20squirt%20of%20ketchup)%20and%20stuff%20a%20warmed%20taco%20shell%20as%20you%20desire.%20%20I%20will%20share%20the%20salsa%20recipe%20I%20made%20with%20the%20one%20little%20habanero%20from%20my%20garden%20that%20I%20have%20been%20fiercely%20protecting%20from%20early%20fall%20frosts%20in%20hopes%20it%20would%20ripen%20before%20the%20deep%20freeze.%20%20Beware,%20this%20a%20fabulously%20tasty%20salsa%20but%20it%20also%20packs%20quite%20a%20punch!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20the%20broiler.%20%20Place%20peach%20and%20tomato%20on%20a%20foil%20lined%20baking%20sheet%20and%20season%20with%20canola%20oil%20and%20salt.%20%20Broil%20until%20soft%20and%20edges%20of%20nicely%20charred.%20Allow%20to%20cool%20for%20about%205-10%20minutes.%20Add%20tomato,%20peaches,%20onion,%20garlic,%20lime%20juice,%20habanero%20and%20cilantro%20to%20a%20food%20processor.%20%20Process%20until%20ingredients%20are%20all%20well%20combined%20and%20you%20reach%20the%20desired%20consistency.%20%20Enjoy!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
