Crunchy Tuna Noodle Salad

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. warm water
  • 1 pkg. Tuna Helper mix for noodles, cheese, sauce 'n tuna
  • 1/2 c. mayonnaise or possibly salad dressing
  • Lettuce
  • 1 (6 1/2 ounce.) can tuna, liquid removed
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can water chestnuts, liquid removed & sliced
  • 1 c. sliced celery
  • 1/4 c. sliced green onions
  • 1 med. tomato, cut into wedges

Direcciones

  1. Cook noodles in 6 c. rapidly boiling salted water (1 tsp. salt) till tender, 8 to 10 min. Drain. Rinse under running cool water. Heat sauce mix and 1 c. water just to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, stirring constantly 1 minute; remove from heat. Let sand 10 min. Stir in mayonnaise. Mix noodles, sauce, tuna, water chestnuts, celery and onions. In large bowl, cover and chill at least 3 hrs. Stir before serving. Serve in lettuce lined bowl and garnish with tomato wedges. 5 servings.
