Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 can evaporated lowfat milk - (12 ounce)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed lowfat milk - (14 ounce)
  • 8 ounce cream cheese cubed, softened
  • 3 x Large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Direcciones

  1. Cook sugar in saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring, till dissolved, about 5 min. Continue to cook, but don't stir, till sugar caramelizes and becomes a rich, dark brown, about 4 to 5 min. Pour into 9-inch cake pan, spreading proportionately. Cold.
  2. Set pan in a larger pan so there's at least 1 inch of space around sides of flan pan. Blend evaporated and condensed milks, cream cheese, Large eggs and vanilla in a blender. Carefully pour into prepared pan. Add in about 1/2 inch water to larger pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees till center of flan still jiggles a little when pan is shaken, 55 to 60 min. Cold, then refrigerateat least 4 hrs. Invert it onto serving plate, slice and serve.
  4. This recipe yields 12 servings.
