Cube Steak (Bavarian Style)

Ingredientes

  • 4 beef cubed steaks, 1 to 1 1/4 lbs.
  • 1 tbsp. veg. oil
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tbsp. brown sguar
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1/3 c. minced onion
  • 2 envelopes mushroom gravy mix
  • 2 tbsp. vinegar

Direcciones

  1. In large skillet, quickly brown steaks on both sides in warm oil. Add in onions; cook till onion is almost tender, about 5 min. Combine water, mushroom gravy mix, brown sugar, vinegar, and caraway seed, pour over steaks in skillet. Cover, simmer for 15 min. Skim off excess fat. Serve with gravy. Makes 4 servings.
