Receta Cumin Flavoured Rice ( Jeera Pulao )

- Heat the ghee in a heavy bottomed pan and add in the cumin seeds.
- When they pop add in the rice and fry till it is shiny (about 3 min).
- Add in the salt and water stir and bring to the boil.
- Cover the pan partially and simmer till the rice is soft and dry.
- Check which the inside of each grain is cooked by mashing one between your forefinger and thumb.
- Serve warm with a lentil puree.
- Pulaos add in an instant boost to a simple meal and are quite simple to make. This pulao is one of the easiest and adds a delicate fragrance to a meal.
