Ingredientes

  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/3-1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
  • healthy pinch nutmeg

Direcciones

  1. Have ready 5 individual serving custard c.. Place in a shallow baking pan filled with tepid water.
  2. Stir sugar and salt into lowfat milk. Over very low heat, bring lowfat milk to the scalding point till it just begins to create a thin skin. Don't boil lowfat milk.
  3. Beat Large eggs slightly; add in a small amount of warm lowfat milk to the Large eggs, then stir the Large eggs back into the lowfat milk, whisking continuously.
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Bake at 350F degrees till a knife inserted in center comes out nearly clean.
  6. When cold, cover each c. with a thin coating of caramel. Just before serving, add in a Tbsp. of coconut rum, spicy rum, or possibly Grand Marnier to each c..
