Dairy Free Pasta "Cheese" Sauce

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Chopped green onions
  • 2 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil or possibly water for sauteeing
  • 1 Tbsp. Whole wheat pastry flour
  • 3 Tbsp. Nutritional yeast
  • 1 1/2 x To 2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. Sesame tahini
  • 2 tsp "chicken"-flavored vegetable broth or possibly light miso
  • 1/2 c. Soymilk Fresh grnd pepper to taste Grnd rock salt

Direcciones

  1. Heat green onions and extra virgin olive oil or possibly water in a medium skillet and sautee for 3 min. Add in flour and stir well to dissolve. Add in nutritional yeast and slowly add in water, whisking to combine ingredients into a smooth sauce. Stir in tahini and vegetable broth.
  2. Whisking continuously, allow sauce to cook over medium heat till it begins to bubble. Whisk in soymilk. Cook sauce for 2 min, whisking continuously till it is thick and bubbly. Season with freshly grnd black pepper and grnd rock salt, if you like.
  3. Yields 1 1/2 to 2 c. of sauce, sufficient for one lb. of pasta.
  4. Variation: Stir 2 c. of cooked corn into finished sauce and pour over 1 lb. of thin green pasta.
