Receta Date Filled Sandwich Cookies

Ingredientes

1 c. shortening 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/2 c. white sugar 1 teaspoon soda and 1/4 c. warm water (mixed together)

1 1/2 c. oatmeal 1 1/2 c. flour (or possibly more) Vanilla

Direcciones

1. Mix dough and chill. Shape into round balls and press flat with a glass on a cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees for 10 min.
2. Filling: Mix all ingredients together and boil till thick. Cold. Fill cookies just before serving so they stay crisp.
