Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 c. Powdered sugar softened
  • 1/2 tsp Almond extract
  • 2 1/2 c. All-purpose flour*
  • 1 tsp Cream of tartar Tinted with food color Colored sugar Candied fruit or possibly nuts omit tartar.
  • 1 c. Margarine or possibly butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1 tsp Baking soda Creamy vanilla frosting desired candies, if using self-rising flour Baking soda and cream of

Direcciones

  1. Mix powdered sugar, margarine, vanilla, almond extract and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients except granulated sugar. Cover and chill at least 2 hrs.
  2. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Grease cookie sheet lightly. Divide dough in half. Roll each half 1/4-inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes with 2 to 2-1/2-inch cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet.
  3. Bake 7 to 8 min or possibly till edges are light brown; cold. Frost or possibly decorate cooled cookies with Creamy Vanilla Frosting tinted with food color if you like. Decorate with colored sugar, small candies, candied fruit or possibly nuts if you like. ABOUT 5 DOZEN COOKIES; 80 COOKIES PER COOKIE.
