Deen Bros.–BBQ Shrimp
Show of hands…Who likes Paula Deen? OK, now, who LOVES Jamie & Bobby?? Me, me, me!! If you haven’t seen their magazine, have no fear, I am cooking out of it like crazy and will be sharing many grilling recipes with you all!! This is super fast to make-IF you make the marinade up the night before. Then on your way out to work in the morning, just toss the shrimp in the marinade bag, and it will be all ready for you when you get home, tired and exhausted!!
BBQ Shrimp
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 pounds jumbo fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- lemon wedges
DIRECTIONS:
In a large resealable bag, add first 9 ingredients. Add shrimp; seal bag and regrigerate for at least 4 hours or up to 12 hours. Spray grill rack with nonstick nonflammable cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove shrimp from the marinade, discarding marinade. Thread shrimp onto skewers. Grill for 2 to 3 minutes per side or until shrimp are pink and firm. Sprinkle with lemon. NOTE: If using wooden skewers, soak in water to cover for 30 minutes; drain.
