Deep Fried Apple Fritters

Ingredientes

  • 3 c. flour
  • 2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 x egg
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla juice and rind of 1 orange (1/3 c. juice and 1 tbs rind)
  • 2 c. minced apples

Direcciones

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a medium size bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the lowfat milk, egg, butter and vanilla. Stir both mixtures together. Add in orange juice, rind and apples. Mix well. Drop from a tsp. into deep warm fat at 400 degrees for about 2 min or possibly till crisp and very brown. Remove from fat and drain. Dust with powdered sugar or possibly a mix of sugar and cinnamon. Serve at once.
  2. Makes approximately 30 fritters.
