Ingredientes

  • 1 pkg. fruit cake fruit mix
  • 1 pound walnut meats
  • 8 ounce. maraschino red cherries or possibly green if you prefer
  • Any candied fruit or possibly nuts you'd like to add in, like dates or possibly raisins
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
  • 1/2 c. cherry juice (you could add in lowfat milk or possibly orange juice if not sufficient cherry juice)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 Large eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp. melted butter or possibly shortening

Direcciones

  1. Put fruit and nuts in large bowl. Mix sugar, salt, flour and baking pwdr all together and add in over the fruit and nuts. Add in cherry juice, vanilla and beaten Large eggs. Add in shortening last and mix well with spoon.
  2. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan and press down fruit and nuts. I like to use tin cans ungreased. I put a little foil in bottom of can. To remove fruit cake, I cut out the bottom of can and cut it out with a thin, narrow knife. Bake at 325 degrees till done, about 40 or possibly 45 min, till hard to the touch.
