Deluxe Three Egg White Cake

Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Five Roses all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1 1/4 c. Sugar
  • 3 x Large eggs, separated
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 c. Lowfat milk

Direcciones

  1. Stir flour, baking pwdr and salt together. Cream shortening; gradually add in sugar, beating between additions. Add in egg yolks and beat till fluffy.
  2. Add in dry ingredients, alternately with lowfat milk, blending well after each addition. Stir in vanilla. Beat egg whites till stiff but not dry; fold into batter. Pour into two greased and floured or possibly lined 8" layer cake pans.
  3. Bake in a moderate oven (350F) 25 to 30 min or possibly till done. Frost as desired.
