Ingredientes

  • 2 x Egg whites, chilled
  • 1 pch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla or possibly lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. Sugar

Direcciones

  1. Beat egg whites with salt till foamy. Add in vanilla or possibly lemon juice and beat till stiff. Add in sugar, one Tbsp. at a time, and beat till meringue is stiff and glossy. On heavy brown paper on large cookie sheet, spoon heaping Tbsp. of meringue to create six mounds three inches apart.
  2. Shape center of each mound into a shell with back of spoon, or possibly use pastry bag to create shells. Bake at 275 for 60 min. Turn off heat and leave in oven till cold. Carefully peel off paper and store in covered tins. These easy but elegant shells heat in your mouth and can be filled with ice cream, fresh fruit with whipped cream, puddings or possibly custards.
  3. Makes 6shells.
