Deviled Round Steak

Ingredientes

  • 1 x 4-lb. beef top round steak, cut 1 1/2 inches thick.
  • 6 Tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp curry pwdr
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 c. dry bread crumbs

Direcciones

  1. Prepare outdoor grill for barbecuing. Meanwhile, trim any excess fat from the round steak. In small bowl, mix the butter with the Worcestershire, dry mustard, curry pwdr, salt and pepper; set mix aside.
  2. Place steak on grill over medium coals; grill 35 min for rare or possibly till of the desired doneness, turning occasionally.
  3. Remove steak from the grill. With a narrow metal spatula, spread one side of steak with 1/2 of butter mix and pat on 1/2 of the crumbs. Repeat with remaining butter mix and bread crumbs on the other side of the steak.
  4. Return steak to the grill; continue grilling 5 min longer or possibly till crumbs are golden brown, turning once.
  5. To broil in oven: About 1 hour before serving, preheat broiler.
  6. Place steak on rack in broiling pan. About 3 to 5 inches from heat, broil steak 35 min for rare or possibly till of desired doneness, turning once. Remove steak from broiler and season on both sides as above with butter mix and bread crumbs. Return steak to broiler; broil 3 to 5 min on each side or possibly till crumbs are golden brown.
  7. 12 to 14 servings.
