Receta Devils on Horseback #SundaySupper
by Marlene Baird

Built on the premise that anything wrapped in bacon will make the crowd go wild just like these Devils on Horseback. Man-food with a women’s touch.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place 12 toothpicks in a small bowl filled with water; let soak 15 minutes. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and fit with a wire rack; set aside. Halve dates lengthwise being careful not to cut all the way through. Place a small amount of cheese in the center of each date. Wrap a piece of bacon around each date. Secure bacon with a toothpick. Place dates on prepared baking sheet. Bake until bacon is cooked through, 20 to 25 minutes. 3.2.2691

Today it’s all about dads! Daddy’s are known as the hero’s to their children. They are the rocks.

For our Father’s Day Sunday Supper we’re celebrating dads; the fix broken toys guy, the sports enthusiast. And what better way to do that than with man-food.. Thank you Susan from The Girl in the Little Red Kitchen for hosting this manly event.

I prepared BACON, for the man, and disguised a date in the middle filled with yummy cheese.

This is what I call a win win situation. He gets the bacon and with every bite, a little bit of sweetness so he will remember me, his little girl.
