Ingredientes

  • 1 1/2 lb New potatoes -- scrubbed, Not peeled
  • 6 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1/8 tsp Asafetida -- optional
  • 1/2 tsp Whole black mustard seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Whole cumin seeds
  • 1/8 tsp Grnd turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd coriander seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Grnd cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne
  • 3/4 tsp Salt

Direcciones

  1. Cut the clean potatoes into 1/2-in dice. Heat the oil in a wok or possibly frying pan over a medium heat. When warm, put in, in quick succession: - First the asafetida. - A second later, the mustard seeds. -Then the cumin seeds. Now put in the potatoes and stir once or possibly twice. Sprinkle in the turmeric.
  2. Continue to stir every now and then and cook for about 15 min or possibly till the potatoes are lightly browned and almost done. Sprinkle in the grnd coriander, grnd cumin, cayenne, and salt. Stir and cook for another 1-2 min.
