My kids love dilly beans! And I love dilly asparagus. So we made this recipe. And loved it. So I must share…
Dilly Beans
INGREDIENTS:
- 2 pounds green beans*
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 heads dill
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 2 1/2 cups vinegar
- 1/4 cups canning salt
DIRECTIONS:
Rinse and snip green beans. pac beans tightly lengthwise into 4 pint jars, leaving 1/4 inch head space. To each jar add pinch of cayenne, 1 garlic clove and 1 head dill. Combine water, vinegar and salt, bring to a boil. Pour brine over beans leaving 1/4 inch head space. Clean rim of jar, add lid, tighten down with rings. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bth. Let stand 2 weeks and enjoy!
