%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWho%20else%20loves%20these%20bars?%20They%20were%20quite%20the%20nostalgic%20trip%20for%20me,%20I%20remember%20eating%20them%20as%20a%20child,%20before%20we%20moved%20to%20India,%20and%20absolutely%20loving%20them.%20They%20still%20aren't%20available%20in%20India,%20but%20I%20had%20ordered%20a%20box%20of%20them%20while%20I%20was%20in%20the%20UK,%20so%20up%20until%20a%20few%20months%20ago%20I%20was%20happily%20enjoying%20them,%20being%20reminded%20of%20their%20awesomeness.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOfcourse,%20coming%20here%20I%20missed%20them%20a%20lot,%20but%20never%20considered%20looking%20up%20a%20recipe%20for%20a%20homemade%20knock-off,%20even%20though%20I%20have%20made%20or%20seen%20quite%20a%20few%20other%20candy%20bars.%20Until%20I%20got%20this%20month's%20Secret%20Recipe%20Club%20assignment%20that%20is.%20Chris's%20blog,%20Mele%20Cotte,%20has%20been%20on%20my%20reader%20for%20ages,%20and%20all%20the%20desserts%20she%20posts%20has%20made%20it%20one%20of%20my%20top%20blogs.%20I%20was%20super%20pumped%20to%20get%20her%20blog%20this%20month.%20I%20went%20to%20her%20recipe%20index,%20totally%20prepared%20to%20spend%20a%20day%20or%20two%20trying%20to%20decide%20what%20to%20make,%20as%20I%20usually%20do.%20And%20while%20a%20lot%20of%20recipes%20stood%20out%20to%20me,%20as%20soon%20as%20I%20saw%20these%20bars,%20I%20was%20sure.%20I%20couldn't%20believe%20my%20eyes,%20and%20cursed%20myself%20quite%20a%20bit%20when%20I%20realised%20I%20could%20have%20been%20making%20these%20bars%20for%20ages.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThey%20are%20super%20easy%20to%20make,%20especially%20if%20you%20have%20butterscotch%20chips.%20I%20didn't,%20and%20made%20my%20own%20butterscotch%20sauce,%20which%20took%20all%20of%205%20minutes%20and%20has%20already%20become%20a%20staple%20in%20my%20house.%20I%20want%20to%20play%20with%20that%20recipe%20just%20a%20bit%20more,%20and%20I'll%20post%20it%20after%20I'm%20done.%20The%20most%20difficult%20part%20is%20waiting%20for%20the%20chocolate%20to%20set,%20and%20the%20anticipation%20of%20knowing%20how%20close%20they%20reach%20to%20the%20real%20deal,%20which%20is%20a%20LOT.%20I%20am%20in%20love%20with%20these,%20they%20are%20so%20good,%20and%20I%20know%20the%20pan's%20going%20to%20be%20over%20in%20no%20time.%20Luckily,%20its%20an%20easy%20recipe%20to%20be%20addicted%20to!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHomemade%20Whatchamacallit%20/%20Peanut%20Butter%20Rice%20Krispy%20Caramel%20Bars%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERecipe%20from%20Mele%20Cotte%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EInstructions%20-%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EGrease%20and%20line%20a%20sheet%20pan.%20Set%20aside.%20Place%20the%20Rice%20Krispies%20in%20a%20large%20bowl,%20that%20allows%20space%20for%20mixing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20medium%20saucepan,%20mix%20together%20the%20sugar,%20corn%20syrup%20/%20honey,%20and%20peanut%20butter.%20Melt,%20remove%20from%20heat%20and%20add%20the%20butterscotch%20chips/sauce.%20Stir%20until%20melted%20completely%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20this%20mixture%20over%20the%20Rice%20Krispies,%20and%20stir/toss%20to%20coat%20evenly.%20Transfer%20into%20the%20prepared%20pan,%20and%20try%20to%20form%20a%20nice%20even%20layer.%20Refrigerate%20to%20set.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20the%20Rice%20Krispies%20are%20set%20(about%2010%20minutes),%20cut%20them%20into%20large%20bars.%20%20Re-line%20the%20same%20pan,%20or%20use%20another%20large%20pan%20lined%20with%20foil.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMelt%20the%20chocolate%20in%20a%20double%20boiler%20/%20microwave.%20Using%20a%20fork,%20dip%20each%20bar%20into%20the%20chocolate,%20ensuring%20it%20is%20coated%20on%20all%20sides,%20and%20lay%20onto%20the%20prepared%20foil%20lined%20pan.%20Allow%20the%20chocolate%20to%20set%20;%20enjoy.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
