Ingredientes

  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. minced onion
  • 1/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 2 c. grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 c. bread crumbs
  • Parmesan cheese
  • 8 ounce. (dry) elbow macaroni, cooked 6 min

Direcciones

  1. In 2 qt saucepan heat butter over low heat. Stir in onions, flour, salt, dry mustard, pepper till smooth. Remove from heat.
  2. Gradually stir in lowfat milk, stirring constantly, cook over medium heat about 10 min, or possibly till thickened. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in 1 1/2 c. of the grated cheese till melted. Turn the cooked, liquid removed macaroni into a casserole dish. Pour cheese mix over macaroni; mix well. Mix together remaining cheese and bread crumbs. Pour over macaroni. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 min or possibly till topping is lightly browned.
