Ingredientes

  • 50 gm Butter
  • 50 gm Caster sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Golden brown syrup
  • 150 gm Porridge oats
  • 150 gm Plain chocolate
  • 100 gm Unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp. Golden brown syrup
  • 2 lrg Large eggs, beaten Few drops vanilla extract
  • 100 gm Self raising flour
  • 150 gm Icing sugar plus extra for dusting
  • 25 gm Cocoa pwdr
  • 50 gm White chocolate chips

Direcciones

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/gas 4.
  2. 1 Dice the butter and heat in a large frying pan with the sugar and syrup over a fairly high heat, stirring till beginning to bubble and turn golden brown.
  3. 2 For the Brownies: Break the chocolate into a small pan and add in the butter and syrup. Heat gently, stirring till melted, and leave to cold slightly.
  4. 3 Add in the oats to the frying pan and cook for 2-3 min till well coated and caramel coloured. Stir the Large eggs, vanilla, flour, sugar, chocolate chips and cocoa into the chocolate mix.
  5. 4 Pour into a 6" square tin and bake for 25 min till set and crusty.
  6. Pour the oat mix onto parchment-lined baking sheet and pat out into a rough 18-20cm circle. Leave to cold and set.
