.%20I%20wish%20I%20hadn't%20tossed%20out%20the%20strawberries.%20You%20see....after%20soaking%20in%20vodka%20for%202%20weeks,%20the%20strawberries%20were%20thoroughly%20drunk!%20And%20very...un-strawberrish%20in%20looks%20and%20taste.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20woke%20up%20early%20this%20morning%20and%20started%20writing.%20I%20had%20a%20hard%20time%20to%20begin%20with.%20My%20mind%20wasn't%20awake%20and%20my%20body%20didn't%20want%20to%20be.%20But%20I%20got%20through%20it.%20I%20wouldn't%20say%20%22with%20flying%20colors%22%20but%20I%20was%20satisfied.%20Plus%20I%20had%20to%20get%20ready%20for%20work.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E3%20hours%20later%20I%20discover%20that%20blogger%20is%20now%20publishing%20with%20invisible%20ink?%20The%20only%20things%20that%20posted%20were%20the%20labels%20and%20the%20title%20(which%20happened%20to%20be%20the%20last%20things%20I%20added).%20I%20tried%20to%20crack%20the%20code%20by%20applyinig%20lemon%20juice%20and%20heat....%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20made%20sure%20I%20was%20wearing%20my%20glasses.%20I%20double%20checked%20to%20make%20sure%20the%20monitor%20was%20turned%20on.%20I%20even%20contimplated%20the%20%22I%20must've%20been%20dreaming%22%20theory.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20then%20started%20to%20whine%20about%20it%20(hey,%20it%20works%20for%20the%20kids%20sometimes,%20doesn't%20it?)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20efforts%20were%20fruitless.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBut%20my%20vodka%20isn't%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20I%20saw%20Bo's%20Raspberry%20Infused%20Vodka%20over%20at%20Bo's%20Bowl,%20I%20was%20instantly%20intrigued.%20He%20has%20a%20great%20blog%20with%20lots%20of%20great%20things...you%20really%20should%20check%20it%20out%20if%20you're%20not%20already%20following%20him.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20vodka%20infusion%20process%20was%20so%20simple.%20I%20think%20the%20hardest%20part%20is%20the%20wait.%202%20weeks.%20But%20the%20results%20are%20fun%20and%20festive%20and%20summery.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20large%20jar%20(Bo%20said%20to%20use%20a%20glass%20jar.%20I%20didn't%20have%20one%20big%20enough%20so%20I%20used%20plastic)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFill%20the%20jar%20with%20your%20berries%20and%20vodka%20and%20place%20in%20a%20cool%20dark%20cupboard%20for%202%20weeks.%20During%20this%20time,%20if%20any%20of%20the%20berries%20get%20mushy,%20remove%20them.%20It's%20normal%20for%20them%20to%20turn%20grey.%20Not%20pretty....but%20normal.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20the%20infusion%20time%20is%20complete,%20strain%20the%20vodka%20through%20a%20coffee%20filter%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYou%20may%20be%20tempted%20to%20try%20one%20of%20those%20strawberries....but%20be%20prepared.%20It's%20not%20a%20good%20experience.%20No%20hint%20of%20a%20strawberry%20left.%20Just%20the%20form.%20With%20a%20sad%20heart....I%20tossed%20them.%20Into%20the%20trash.%20If%20I%20could%20think%20of%20something%20worthy%20to%20do%20with%20them,%20I%20would%20have.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAny%20suggestions?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhat%20I%20had%20left%20was%20this%20gorgeous%20red%20vodka%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWith%20a%20light%20strawberry%20flavor.%20Not%20too%20strong.%20It%20didn't%20remind%20me%20of%20cough%20syrup%20like%20some%20of%20those%20ones%20on%20the%20market%20do.%20It%20was%20just%20a%20nice%20hint.%20And%20the%20vodka%20itself%20had%20mellowed.%20(more%20like%20transfused%20into%20the%20tossed%20strawberries)%20so%20what%20you%20have%20left%20isn't%20something%20that's%20going%20to%20kick%20your%20ass.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPerfect%20for%20those%20hot%20summery%20evenings%20we're%20all%20anticipating.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20my%20drink,%20I%20added%20equal%20parts%20of%20my%20Strawberry%20Infused%20Vodka%20and%20V8%20Splash%20Berry%20Blend%20(I%20just%20love%20that%20juice!!!)%20and%20a%20squirt%20of%20fresh%20lemon%20juice.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EShaken%20not%20stirred.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
