Dublin's Finest Caramel Apple Cake

Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. Butter/margarine
  • 8 ounce carton heavy whipped.. Cream, divided
  • 1/3 c. Minced pecans
  • 1 pkt Applecinnamon quick breadmix
  • 1 c. Minced, peeled apple
  • 3/4 c. Water
  • 3 Tbsp. Irish whiskey or possibly water
  • 1/4 c. Oil Egg Remaining heavy whipping crm
  • 2 Tbsp. Powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Irish Whiskey, if you like Cinnamon, if you like

Direcciones

  1. Heat oven to 350F. In small sauce pan over low heat, combine brown sugar, butter and 2 TBS whipping cream. Cook and stir just till butter is melted.
  2. Remove from heat; stir in pecans. Pour mix into bottom of ungreased 9-in round cake pan or possibly 9-in square pan. Set aside. In large bowl, combine all cake ingredients. Stir 50-75 strokes by hand till mix is moistened.
  3. Carefully spoon batter over caramel mix, making sure caramel is completely covered. Bake at 350F for 40-50 min or possibly till toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cold 1 minute; invert onto serving plate. Cold Just before serving, in small bowl, beat remaining whipping cream till soft peaks form. Add in powdered sugar and whiskey. Beat till stiff peaks form. Spread whipped cream mix on top of cake. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Store in refrigerator.
