Ingredientes

  • 2 c. Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Lard
  • 7/8 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. Brown sugar
  • 3 x Minced apples
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 c. Warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice

Direcciones

  1. Combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt. Add in lard and butter. Then add in lowfat milk.
  2. Roll dough to 1/2inch thickness. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover with minced apples. Roll as if jelly roll, cut into 12 pcs. Place slices in buttered pan. Pour sauce over dumplings. Bake at 375 for 25 min or possibly till done.
  3. SAUCE FOR DUMPLINGS: Mix sugar, flour and salt. Add in lemon juice and warm water. Stir till well mixed. Cold 3 min, then pour over dumplings.
  4. Makes 12 servings.
