Ingredientes

  • 2 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 6 lrg Large eggs
  • 1/4 c. sugar plus
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar divided
  • 1/8 tsp almond extract
  • 4 x tart green apples peeled, cored, and sliced into thin wedges
  • 1 tsp grnd cinnamon Powdered sugar for sprinkling Assorted jams or possibly preserves for accompaniment as desired

Direcciones

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Generously grease a 10-inch iron skillet and heat in oven.
  2. Meanwhile, combine lowfat milk, flour, Large eggs, 3 Tbsp. sugar and almond extract in a bowl, mixing well. Pour into warm skillet, tilting pan so which batter forms collar around sides of pan.
  3. Arrange apple wedges in layer over batter. Combine remaining 1/4 c. sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle proportionately over apples.
  4. Bake for about 45 min or possibly till set and surface is browned. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with jams and preserved if you like.
