- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut apples into 1/2-inch thick slices and place in a large bowl. Toss with lemon juice. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar, flour, and cinnamon, Stir to mix. Add to apples and toss well to coat. Turn apples into pie shell. Dot with butter.
- Place pie with a piece of foil underneath to catch drips on bottom oven rack. Bake 30 minutes. In a measuring cup, mix cream with apple butter until smooth. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon to form topping. Mix with fingers until crumbly. Stir in walnuts and pecans.
- Remove pie from oven. Drizzle cream mixture over apples. Crumble topping evenly over apples.
- Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Cover edge of crust with foil. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and top is browned. Place pie on a wire rack and let cool. Serve warm or at room temperature.
