Dutch Harvest Cake

Ingredientes

  • 1 c. butter (2 sticks)
  • 2 c. sugar (brown)
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 c. cool coffee (strong)
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 3 c. apples (diced)
  • 1 c. walnuts
  • 4 T Half & Half (or possibly evaporated lowfat milk)
  • 1 c. coconut
  • 1 c. brown sugar

Direcciones

  1. Cream butter and sugar thoroughly, then add in large eggs. Sift together dry ingredients and add in alternately with the coffee. Mix in raisins, apple and nuts. Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour. WATCH. After cake is baked and while still warm, frost with the following:
  2. Put together and spread over top of cake and place under broiler till frosting bubbles. (Watch which it doesn't burn.)
