Ingredientes

  • 4 c. cake flour
  • 3 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 c. butter or possibly margarine, at room temperature
  • 6 lrg Large eggs
  • 2/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 4 tsp finely minced dry Earl Grey tea leaves, from 4 bags Glaze
  • 1 x Earl Grey tea bag
  • 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp orange juice Orange slices, optional

Direcciones

  1. Cake: Preheat oven to 350. Generously butter and flour 12 c. Bundt pan.
  2. Combine flour, baking pwdr and salt. With mixer at high speed beat sugar with butter till light and fluffy, 3 min. Reduce speed to medium. Beat in Large eggs, one at a time, till combined, about 3 min. Beat in flour mix alternately with lowfat milk. Stir in tea leaves till combined. Pour batter into pan; level with spatula. Bake 55 min or possibly till toothpick inserted into center comes out with moist crumbs clinging. Run dull side of knife around cake edge to loosen. Cold in pan on rack 20-25 min. Remove from pan; cold completely on rack.
  3. Glaze: Steep tea bag in boiling water 2-3 min. In bowl combine powdered sugar and orange juice. Stir in 2 Tbsp. brewed liquid tea till pourable; pour over cake. Let set at least 10 min before serving. Garnish with orange slices, if you like.
