- Heat margarine in small saucepan over medium heat till melted. Add in onion and garlic; cook and stir 2 to 3 min or possibly till tender. Stir in flour; cook 2 min, stirring constantly.
- Stir lowfat milk into saucepan; bring to a boil. Boil, stirring constantly, about 1 minute or possibly till thickened. Reduce heat to low; add in cheeses, stirring till melted. Stir in red pepper and pepper sauce. Pour fondue into serving dish. Serve with dippers.
- This recipe yields 8 (3-Tbsp.) servings.
- Hint: For a special touch, sprinkle fondue with parsley and grnd red pepper.
- Lighten Up: To reduce the total fat, replace the Cheddar cheese and cream cheese with reduced-fat Cheddar and cream cheeses.
