- Fold in a bowl:
- Heat 1 stick butter, add in 1/2 cup oil, 1 cup water, 3 1/2 T cocoa. Bring to a boil and pour over flour-sugar mix.Add in and fold in 1/2 cup buttermilk and 2 slightly beaten large eggs.
- Bake in 9 x 13 pan for 30 min at 375 degrees.
- To make buttermilk use 1 tsp vinegar and balance plain lowfat milk.
- Pour frosting over hot cake.
- Mix, bring to a boil and add in: 2 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 cup nuts minced. Pour over hot cake and spread.
