Receta Easy Irish Soda Bread
by Lisa @ Flour Me With Love

I have never had Irish Soda Bread, but we were having brisket for dinner the other night and I wanted to have something different with it. I looked up some recipes and found this simple one and decided to give it a try. I like how this recipe doesn't use any yeast so there's no waiting for it to rise. I am surprised at how easy this bread is to make and how delicious it is to enjoy!

Ingredients are as follows:

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees; lightly grease a large baking sheet.

Mix together flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt & butter. Stir in buttermilk, egg & raisins. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface & knead slightly.

Form dough into a round; use a sharp knife to cut an 'X' into the top of the loaf.

Place onto cookie sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes; until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
