Ingredientes

  • 1/2 c. Granulated sugar
  • 2 c. Biscuit mix
  • 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd allspice
  • 1/4 tsp Grnd cloves
  • 1 x Egg
  • 1/2 c. Sourdough starter
  • 1/2 c. Canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 c. Raisins
  • 3/4 c. Lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
  • 1 c. Minced walnuts, if you like
  • 2 c. Powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. Half and half
  • 3 dsh yellow food coloring

Direcciones

  1. Grease one 9x5" loaf pan, two 7 1/2x4" loaf pans or possibly three 5 1/2x3" loaf pans; set aside. Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, combine sugar, biscuit mix, cinnamon, allspice, and cloves; set aside. In a medium bowl, beat egg. Stir in sourdough starter, pumpkin, raisins, lowfat milk, oil and nuts, if you like. Stir into spice mix till dry ingredients are just moistened. Turn into prepared pan or possibly pans. Bake in preheated oven 35 to 40 min for small loaves or possibly 50 to 55 min for other loaves. Bread is done when a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Turn out of pan or possibly pans.
  2. Cold top side up on a rack. Prepare Golden brown glaze. Spread on cooled pumpkin loaf or possibly loaves.
  3. Makes 1 large, 2 medium, or possibly 3 small loaves.
  4. Golden brown glaze: Combine powdered sugar, half and half and food coloring. Only half of recipe is needed to glaze 1 large loaf.
