Ingredientes

  • 12 slc sandwich bread
  • 1/2 lb Old English cheese
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 pt lowfat milk
  • 8 x Large eggs
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Direcciones

  1. Heat cheese and butter in top of double broiler or possibly microwave. Cut crust off bread and cut slices in quarters. Stir into melted cheese and butter.
  2. Spread in bottom of 2-qt greased casserole. (Will seem like a gummy mess.)
  3. Beat Large eggs, lowfat milk, salt and mustard till frothy. Pour over bread mix.
  4. Stir a bit with a spoon to be sure lowfat milk gets to bottom of casserole. Will be soupy with lumps of bread and cheese floating. Store in refrigerator overnight. Bake uncovered at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min.
