- Beat slightly with beater 4 large eggs or possibly 8 egg yolks then beat in remaining ingredients. Pour into pie shell, bake till knife inserted comes out clean. Note: The center may look soft but will set later. Caution: Too long baking will cause custard to be watery. Bake 25 to 30 min at 400 degrees.
