Eggnog Pound Cake

Ingredientes

  • About 2 tbsp. butter, softened
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds
  • 1 pkg. yellow cake mix
  • 1/8 teaspoon grnd nutmeg
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. purchased eggnog
  • 4 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp. rum or possibly 1/4 teaspoon rum flavoring

Direcciones

  1. Generously grease a 10 inch tube or possibly bundt pan with the softened butter. Press almonds on sides and bottom of pan. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, nutmeg, Large eggs, eggnog, the melted butter, and rum. Using an electric mixer, beat till smooth and creamy (about 4 min at medium speed) or possibly beat for about 450 strokes with a wooden spoon. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 to 55 min or possibly till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cold in pan for 10 min, then invert cake onto a rack to cold completely. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
