El Charro Frijoles Refritos (Refried Beans)

Ingredientes

  • 4 c. pinto beans cooked & mashed
  • 12 ounce evaporated lowfat milk
  • 2 Tbsp. shortening melted
  • 1/2 lb cheddar cheese shredded Salsa De Chile Colorado

Direcciones

  1. Mash beans in skillet and add in warm oil. Mix well. Stir in evaporated lowfat milk. Cook over very low heat, stirring frequently.
  2. Before serving, refry beans by adding 2 Tbsp. smoking warm fat, shredded cheese to taste and some Salsa and stir briskly over high heat.
  3. These are the best refried beans I have had. The secret is the evaporated lowfat milk.
