Receta Ensaladang Labanos with Alamang
There are many Filipino Side Salads but I can make only some of them due to the ingredients available here in New Zealand, so far, we have the following: Ensaladang Filipino, Ensaladang Mangga, Ensaladang Talong, Warm Okra and Tomato Salad and now were adding one to the collection, the Ensaladang Labanos with Alamang. Ensaladang Labanos with Alamang is a side salad dish made with daikon radish, tomato and red onions served on a thin dressing made with cane vinegar and bagoong alamang. Like most Filipino side dish salad this has a real sour note hence consuming it on its own is not recommended but rather have this with rice and grilled meats as they all complement well with each other. The soaked radish and its crispiness matches well to tender grilled meats specially seafood.
