Ingredientes

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 x McIntosh apples peeled, quartered, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1 x ripe Anjou or possibly Bosc pear peeled, quartered, and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp grnd or possibly freshly-grated nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1 pt vanilla ice cream
  • 8 x wafer stick cookies, vanilla wafers, or possibly ginger snaps

Direcciones

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over moderate heat. Add in butter and sliced fruit and saute/fry for 5 min till the slices of fruit are tender. Season fruit with nutmeg and cinnamon as it sautes. Sprinkle in brown sugar and cook 2 or possibly 3 min longer to coat fruit.
  2. Spoon the hot fruit over vanilla ice cream and garnish with a couple of cookies or possibly wafer sticks.
  3. Mix and match all apple, all pear, use whichever fruits you have on hand, you can even saute/fry sliced peaches or possibly sliced banana and still use the method provided in this recipe.
  4. This recipe yields 4 servings.
