Receta Fall back in love with soy–a recipe roundup!
When you have a dairy milk or whey food sensitivity like I do, it’s such a relief to have the choice of an alternative like Silk Soymilk. Not only is it a good source of plant-powered protein, with 8 grams per serving, but it’s low in saturated fat, has no cholesterol, and tastes delicious!
I just love how Silk Soymilk is so versatile. You can drink it right out of the container, have it in your coffee or cereal, or use it in cooking. To show Silk Soymilk’s versatility – and the ways you can use soy and soybean products in your cooking – I’ve prepared a recipe roundup of some of my favorite soymilk and soy based dishes. Some are from here at This Mama Cooks! On a Diet and others are from around the food blogosphere.
Soymilk recipes
Did you know that you can get Silk Soymilk in the following flavors – Vanilla, Original, Chocolate, Very Vanilla, DHA Omega-3, Light Vanilla, Light Original, Light Chocolate, Organic Vanilla, Organic Original, and Organic Unsweetened? There’s a flavor to fit every taste and use in so many recipes! Here are just a few of my favorites:
Tofu recipes
Tofu is as versatile as soymilk. You can use the firmer forms of tofu instead of chicken, pork or beef. Or you can blend silken tofu in a food processor and use it in desserts, sauces, dressings and smoothies.
Edamame recipes
I love edamame (or mukimame as it's called when the soybeans are shelled). They’re so fun to eat and so good for you, too. Kids love to snack on them as well!
